About The Federation of Danish Investment Associations

The Federation of Danish Investment Associations (IFR) is the industry association representing Danish funds and their management companies.

We seek to ensure optimal conditions so that private and institutional investors always have easy access to professional asset management. The aim of the Federation of Danish Investment Associations is to:

• Increase the industry's political influence in order to ensure optimal and international competitive conditions
• Contribute to attractive products by ensuring a good infrastructure as well as accessible, relevant and comparable information
• Promote investor protection and fair competition by continuing the development of industry standards and professional practice

One of our most important objectives is to represent the investment management industry in relation to legislators and authorities - for instance the Danish FSA and the tax authorities. Further, our aim is to facilitate doing business. We monitor the legislative work and submit responses to consultations on behalf of the fund industry.

We publish official statistics on performance, cost levels, market trends etc. The purpose is to promote competition and create transparency. Furthermore, we have an important objective in ensuring knowledge sharing with member associations about industry matters.
