Continued losses on equities in February - fair month for bonds

February was dominated by continued decline in equity prices. Typical equity funds based on Danish, Global and European securities showed losses of approximately 10 percent. Bond funds were more stable.

Dramatic changes in asset allocation since 2006

The financial crisis through the last 18 months has dramatically changed the asset allocation in the Danish industry.

The total value of investments in equity funds has fallen approximately 50 percent since December 2006 - mainly due to decline in equity prices all over the world.

The total value of investments in bond funds has only declined app. 5 percent.

Investors on the sell side in February

Both private and institutional investors were on the sell side in February. Net sales of funds from investors reached approximately DKK 2.7bn.

Assets under management in the Danish industry fell from DKK 678 to 655bn.
