2010: Half year status
in the Danish investment funds
More than 825,000 Danes invest by investment funds. One advantage is the continuous management of the savings and risk diversification from first invested krone. The status, based on the figures from the first six months in 2010, answers the question as to how the investment funds performed.
Managing director in The Federation of Danish Investment Associations, Jens Jørgen Holm Møller, comments on the 2010-status: “We can look back on a very satisfying first half year, all things considered. We are of course pleased with the extraordinary high rates of return from Danish bonds. 6 % in 6 months – that is far above what investors can expect in future, because the bond yield is very low now. At the share area we can conclude that most funds have fine plusses – European shares disappoint, however, Danish shares swim against the tide. It will always be like that at the markets – some markets are in progress and others apply the brakes for a while. That is why risk diversification is alpha and omega when investing.”
