Legal issues
There are two types of funds in Denmark (organised as assocations), namely investment associations and special-purpose associations.
The Investment Associations and Special-Purpose Associations Consolidated Act
The investment associations are all UCITS while the special-purpose accosications are non-ucits with wider investment opportunities, designed to special financial conditions in Denmark. Both individual and institutional investors invest in the investment associations and special-purpose assoctions.
The Investment Associations and Special-Purpose Associations Consolidated Act is the most important act Danish assocations of investment funds. The act regulates among other things authorisation, management of funds, accounts and audit, Prospectus, information to investors and publication of issue and redemption prices, etc. Read the act.
