There are two types of funds in Denmark (organised as assocations), namely investment associations and special-purpose associations.

The Investment Associations and Special-Purpose Associations Consolidated Act

The investment associations are all UCITS while the special-purpose accosications are non-ucits with wider investment opportunities, designed to special financial conditions in Denmark. Both individual and institutional investors invest in the investment associations and special-purpose assoctions.

The Investment Associations and Special-Purpose Associations Consolidated Act is the most important act Danish assocations of investment funds.
